Join us for Nutcracker Auditions June 2nd!

Registration is now open for Greensboro Dance Theatre’s 2026 Nutcracker auditions! Join us for our 6th year of bringing this magical holiday tradition to the stage. The Nutcracker is a wonderful opportunity for dancers to grow as performers, build confidence, make new friendships, and create lasting memories throughout the season. Auditions will take place on Tuesday, June 2, with age-based audition times listed above. Dancers interested in participating must complete the audition survey prior to auditions in order to be considered for casting.

Enrolling Soon for 2026-2027 Season!

Summer is almost here, and it may mean slowing down and relaxing, but we are already gearing up for our 30th Dance Season here at Greensboro Dance Theatre! We are excited to share that we are now enrolling in our Rec Classes for the fall of 2026!

Our new dance season begins September 8, 2026 and runs through May, 2027!  Classes may still be a few months away, but registration is opening soon!  Class spaces fill up very quickly at GDT, so you will want to secure your class spot as soon as possible!

You will receive $10 off of your dancer's registration fee if you register early! You can click the link below to get started! From there, you will log into Dance Studio Pro and make an account to be ready for registration!

Join us for a short and upbeat jazz class where our staff will teach a short warm-up, across the floor skills, and combo to assess dancer’s readiness for placement on our competitive team!

Dancers should be in dance attire (no baggy clothes, please!) and jazz shoes if possible - if your dancer does not have jazz shoes, ballet shoes will work! Please have hair pulled back neatly out of the face.

Dancers are evaluated by skill level for placement on our teams.

Our competitive team has the opportunity to train seriously in many styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, and acro. We emphasize strong technique and artistry. Our company is designed for dancers looking to take their love of dance to the next level!
