Brooke Royster started studying dance at the age of six under the direction of Ray Hollingsworth at Ray Hollingsworth Dance and Theatre Arts Center in Jamestown, NC. During high school, she studied under Leslie Lamb Nagle at Jamestown Dance Theatre. There she found her passion and love for teaching dance and began her teaching career. While a student at Jamestown Dance Theatre, she competed, performed, and attended dance seminars and competitions throughout the Southeast and competed in the DTI National Finals in Daytona Beach, Florida. To further her dance training, she took classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. She graduated with honors from Guilford Technical Community College in 2005 with a degree in Office Systems Technology.

Brooke has taught at The Greensboro Dance Theatre since 2002 and teaches ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical. She enjoys watching her students grow with their self-esteem, technique, and performance skills.  Her goal is to enhance the full creative development of her students. Her expertise lies in knowing how to bring out the best in her students, and she joins with them as they delight in their accomplishments.  She loves to share her love of dance with her students and brings fun and excitement to each class. Come jump, turn and fly with Brooke!
